At Least Not With the Big Brain
Bill and Hillary Clinton are attempting to control the discussion of the comparison of I. Lewis Libby’s commutation to the 140 pardons given out by Bill Clinton.

Rather than tread lightly on the Libby commutation, the Clintons have chosen to confront it; Clinton advisers said there was no real alternative, because the news media would bring up the Rich pardon anyway.
Still, the Clintons have not scheduled a news conference during their visit, where they might face tough questioning, nor have they permitted reporters to attend private events, some including as many as 300 people, where people ask Mrs. Clinton questions. All of their public events have been rallies where the two of them speak.
The Clintons campaigned in Iowa City and Davenport on Tuesday, where Mr. Clinton, in addition to lavishing praise on his wife, seemed to take some fresh shots at the Bush administration. Referring to the presidency, he said in Davenport, “You have to think; we’ve seen what happens when you don’t think.” (emphasis added)
Yes, we have. Or at least we’ve seen what happens when you don’t use the big brain to think with.
Perhaps the comparison isn’t to the Rich pardon, but to the fine and probation of Sandy Berger for destroying evidence. Even if you wanted to, you couldn’t reconstruct what Sandy “Pants” Berger shredded. It’s gone. Libby’s “crime” is that he obstructed an investigation - the investigation was able to be completed in any event.
Maybe this is the question Bill and Hillary should be asked - Should Sandy Berger have to go to jail for 30 months for his obstruction?
