That "Wave" Shows Up Again
Regardless of the facts, Harry Reid wants to harken back to the wave of support for anti-war defeatism that he saw in the November election.
That wave only generated 49 votes to stop debate and vote on the defeatist resolution to condemn “the surge,” as it is now called.
In whining about not getting his way on the vote to close debate on the Terrorist Support Resolution, he emphasized that:
We must heed the results of the November elections and the wishes of the American people,” said Majority Leader Harry Reid.
Where did he get that from? Is he using Zawahiri tapes for talking points?
It also calls into question the strategy of the Democrats - are they following John Kerry’s “I was for the surge before I was against it” strategy?
