Perhaps they, and he, felt it would simply not rise to anyone’s attention during all the end-of-year celebration, and the mourning for the passing of Gerald Ford.

You Wouldn’t Want the Ethiopians to do What the UN Hasn’t

The UN seems to be in a rush to get the Ethiopians to stop doing the UN’s job in Somalia. According to this MSNBC report, Somalia government forces advance - Africa - MSNBC.com

The U.N. Security Council failed for a second day on Wednesday to agree on a statement calling for an immediate cease-fire in Somalia because Qatar insisted the council demand the immediate withdrawal of all foreign forces.
It’s not for want of trying, though. They rush to stop forces that are fighting against Islamo-fascist terrorist organizations, but don’t do anything about those that are in control of an area - Darfur, for example.
