I Know What I Want for Christmas

December 16, 2006

Reading Dr. Sanity’s  post on Victimhood, I came across these paragraphs. This sounds pretty neat! I think I’ll ask to become a victim for Christmas.

Chapter I: THE ADVANTAGES OF VICTIMHOOD

This brief guide is for those searching for an expedited pathway into the exalted status of Victimhood. Becoming a victim –as we all have learned from famous TV stars, prominent politicians; religions, races, and even nations–is an advantageous state of being in many ways, several of which are:

-You are not responsible for what happened to you

-You are always morally right

-You are not accountable to anyone for anything

-You are forever entitled to sympathy

-You are always justified in feeling moral indignation for being wronged

-You never have to be responsible again for anything

That would be better than a new car! No wonder it’s so attractive to people!

Oops! I guess I’ll have to do something about one of the exculsionary items:

- An underrepresented race (whoever is in the minority–the majority are barred from victimhood)
However, I can self-select a racial category, so maybe I should take that route. There’s no genetic rule or family tie requirement for a person who declares themselves a minority.

What the Idiot from Florida Should Have Said

Reading Dr. Sanity this morning, I came across a post about the traitorous actions of several members of Congress in the past week. I say traitorous, because I am sure they weren’t doing what the administration intends for our foreign policy. In a Fox News article, Sen. Bill Nelson (Dimwit from Florida) held a news conference after meeting with the Butcher of Beirut: FOXNews.com - Sen. Bill Nelson Meets With Syria’s Assad in Damascus - Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum

Assad “clearly indicated a willingness to cooperate” in controlling its border with Iraq, Nelson told reporters in a conference call following the meeting. The U.S. says foreign fighters often enter Iraq across that boundary.

What should have transpired would have been a short conversation with Assad - either you get your agents and proxies out of Lebanon and Iraq or we’re coming for you next. If you delay, we’ll redecorate one of your many palaces. It might be the one you’re in at the time.

These senators who are undercutting US foreign policy are traitors to our effort to fight Islamo-fascist terrorists.
