The Next Time Someone Says Iraq Is a Mess

remind them what most of the other Arab/Muslim countries are like. Gateway Pundit, among others has lots of information about how the governments of Syria and Iran deal with any other country in the region that doesn’t play along. With neighbors like these, I’m amazed that Iraq’s violence compares so favorably with Washington, DC’s or California’s.
Instead of blaming the Iraqi government for those violent acts, let’s try blaming the perpetrators.

Another Version of the Big Lie

Daniel Johnson, writing in Commentary Online Article - Allah’s England?, makes several depressing observations about relations between Muslims in the UK (can’t call them British, since they’re Muslims first, last and always) and the police.
From Muhammad Abdul Bari:

Some police officers and sections of the media are demonizing Muslims,
treating them as if they’re all terrorists—and that encourages other
people to do the same. If that demonization continues, then Britain
will have to deal with 2 million Muslim terrorists—700,000 of them in
London.
What the Muslim “leaders” ignore is that if they don’t work to help root out the extremist elements in their communities, the rest of the UK’s citizens must naturally conclude that all of the 2 million are in fact terrorists. While it will get very bloody (no British pun intended), the Muslims will have dragged all their communities into the slaughter. The rhetoric of Mr. Bari sounds very much like that of the admitted jihadists - give us what we want or we’ll start killing people.
