I’m a Glass-Half-Full Kind of Guy, But…

November 9, 2006

…I do want to know WHAT it’s full of, as well. While I’m in agreement with much of what Brian Maloney writes, including the need for strong conservative leadership in the Republican party, I have to point out the obvious in response to a quote from his article:

Rather than being won by Democrats, this election was lost by Republicans. Neither party made a good case for itself this year, but anti- GOP sentiment was strong enough to toss them out.

A loss is still a loss. We must be vigilant for the next two years in making sure we didn’t throw some conservative values out with the rascals.

Another comment I have pertains to Mr. Maloney’s comment in the column:

So instead of sulking, let’s allow these losses to revitalize the Republican Party so that it is much stronger in the long run.

Let’s not "allow" anything. Let’s make sure the party reflects the membership. If, as Brian an Michele Malkin state, really won, then let’s make sure the Republicans running for election in 2008 reflect those values.
