Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit.com stole my blog name for comment on the Kerry flap. I don’t mind, I could use some publicity and it is probably the first question most Democrats are asking - What the heck was he thinking?
John Kerry - Stuck in the ’60s
After listening to the original comment (at Michelle Malkin.com: John Kerry said what?!) and the subsequent tilting-at-windmills rejoinder, I’m surprised no one else gets it. John Kerry is stuck in the one timeframe of his life that was exhilarating - the 60’s. That’s when people who couldn’t keep their student deferment were DRAFTED into the Army or Marines. John’s mind is still back there - pre-9/11!
Republicans should push this in the face of their election opponents. Democrats should (if they can) step away from the stink-bomb-that-is-Kerry.
Kerry should look back at his comments and tell the world how those comments referred to President Bush. Failing that, one can only assume his non-apology was an attempt to throw a red herring out to distract people from his original comment. It was certainly a non-sequitor from the original statement.
