This Is Why the Liberals Have Targeted Rick Santorum

October 28, 2006

National Review Online has posted a speech by Rick Santorum on the threat to the United States and the free world. It is sobering reading. It is also a great example of why the Liberals want him out of the Senate. He’s too smart and too clear headed for them. He clearly and concisely explains the threats to  the West and what we need to pay attention to. His alarm isn’t based on emotion. His alarm is based on the growing mass of facts that point to the "gathering storm" as Churchill named it.

One of Churchill’s descriptions that Santorum used stands out to me:

"How the English-speaking peoples through their unwisdom, carelessness, and good nature allowed the wicked to rearm."

This is fast becoming a real global war. Who will have the will and the presence of mind to protect us and our way of life?

How to Spot a “Seminar Caller”

Hugh Hewitt calls Democrat trolls to his talk show "Seminar Callers/" They call in claiming to be conservative or Republican, but talk almost exclusively from Dem. talking points. Flopping Aces has a post up of a call to Dennis Prager’s show that gets disected very well by Dennis.

The style of the caller got me to thinking. I’ve blogged about the different motivational underpinning of liberals’ arguments. They are focused on emotions, not on philosophy, faith, or facts. It struck me that when a caller starts by saying, "I’m so mad, I’m going to do something contrary to my basic philosophical or faithful underpinnings…" my radar goes off. I’ll bet that that person isn’t truly a conservative. They’re masquerading as one and attempting to get others to stop thinking and start reacting - using emotions to guide decisions, not thought or belief.

(thanks Flopping Aces!)
