Michael J. Fox - Your Core Argument Is Weak

October 27, 2006

The Anchoress (and others) are posting about the hypocrisy of Fox’s ad for Ben Cardin -The Anchoress » Fox on CBS and the goo of victimhood. It also has been reported in the Washington Times that Senator Talent of Missouri supports non-embryonic stem cell research. This effort by Michael J. Fox appears more and more to be about politics, and not science - even questionable science.

The Anchoress adds a very thoughtful rhetorical question in her post:

It’s very unlikely that the GOP would ever create an ad using - fer instance - Billy Graham, or Muhammed Ali - to rebut the Fox ad, but perhaps it should. Maybe the Rev. Graham should make such an ad and proclaim that he’d rather deal with the cards he has been handed than destroy human embryos - beings of identifiably human species - to get out of his situation. THAT would certainly enliven things, wouldn’t it? Don’t you think?

A key question in the stem cell debate.

Dems Forget Their Playbook

That is, to keep below the radar on all issues of substance. The Jewish Daily Forward website has an article about how several high-ranking Democrats are attempting to distance themselves from their now-embarrassing ambassador to North Korea. Jimmy Carter just can’t stop himself from proving that he was a much better…well almost anything, than he was and is as President, diplomat, or politician. He was okay as a Habitat for Humanity home builder, but he’s since opened his mouth on political issues and people will forget about his good work. (h/t to the Anchoress)
