David Hogberg, posting at Amy Ridenour’s National Center Blog: Huffington Post Beware: A Little Knowledge Is A Dangerous Thing, Part I
Talks about a flawed study on medical statistics. One paragraph he quotes from Blake Fleetwood’s post at Huffington Post stands out to me:
We further learn that markets ration health care "by price, which means that who gets what goods and services depends not only on how much those goods and services are valued by people, but on who has the means to buy them. Priorities are not set by anyone but emerge from the play of the market. As indicated, this is almost the worst possible way to determine who gets which health services."
Which quote sounds like it came from a person far enough left to be close to the philosophy of the Communist dictator of Cuba or one of his fellow travelers. It’s odd to me how this kind of rhetoric can still persist long after the Soviet Union imploded and both the former Soviet states and Cuba are economic basket cases.
It does make me wonder if Hilary will quote from the study in question. It seems to make a strong case for her nationalized health care. (hat tip to Wizbang Blog)
