More Are Posting About the Nature of the Left’s Arguments

Dymphna, at Gates of Vienna: posts “Peace” and War on an Autumn Afternoon. In the body of the text is this comment that caught my eye:

Perhaps that is one reason their arguments are so intense and frenzied: they are beliefs arrived at through feeling rather than reason.

This is the classical description of a liberal’s position - emotion-laden but fact-bereft. And, the less factual (especially if pointed out to them), the louder and more emotional the response.
