Gagdad Bob Speaks Clearly…

September 23, 2006

Even when it hurts my head to read his words. At One Cosmos, he posts about Ahmadinejad, Ape of God with lots of very good thoughts about the dislocation of the Left from their moral anchor.

"I will say it again: there is no religion or doctrine higher than truth, for if all good people were united in confronting the Islamic world with the simple truth, as did the pope, it would wither like a coward. These monsters are only emboldened by our cautious and mealymouthed evasions of their truth."

That last sentence was what hooked me on this post. The liberal media and politicians appear to make no connection between their moral relativism and the support that gives to enemies of the very government and society that lets them keep their heads attached to their bodies.

Beware reading Gagdad Bob, though. His prose is so deft that he’ll trip you up in a heartbeat. It’s like watching a sculptor carve away the wasted words and make deft little swirls and eddies.

Me too! Words I’d Love to Hear From a Podium

The Baltimore Reporter posts an entry from Alastair Gordon, who is president of the Canadian Coalition for Democracies. It is invigorating reading. I only wish the Canadian Prime Minister would do what Mr. Gordon proposes.
