More Thoughts on The Belmont Club Post on al Qaeda

September 16, 2006

In reading the post, The Belmont Club: Al-Qaeda from the inside out it struck me that these Islamofascist terrorists let out the true nature of the god they serve:

It was anonymously authored by the mysterious Abu Bakr Naji, who anticipates the fact that while the Jihad will be everywhere tactically defeated by American forces, the necessary fate of each battlefield would be ruin and chaos; and it would not be an unfavorable outcome because chaos is on Allah’s side."

Chaos is on Allah’s side! In the Christian faith, we believe that God brings laws and creates the order of our universe. Some Christians believe that Satan brings chaos and disorder… This enrapture with chaos as a tool by terrorists points to that Christian belief where the Enemy seeks to destroy the order created by God.

I’m not an evangelical or strongly traditional believer in Christian dogma, but I don’t know any Christians who think that chaos is a good thing for mankind. I think this will help to clarify for many the nature of our enemies - servants of chaos.

Different Ways to Fight a War

Redirected to a post at The Belmont Club: Al-Qaeda from the inside out by Dr. Sanity, I read the following quote (quoted by Dr. Sanity, that is):

"The dilemma the US could not avoid was that to rule was to maintain order; but to fight the Jihad was to foul its own nest."

This dilemma exists only so long as we consider that it is only our military that is fighting the war. If we look to our entire citizenry to take part in the war, for example by providing the first order "intelligence" on the enemy, then the equation changes regarding the order/chaos dilemma.

When the air planes struck the World Trade Center and Pentagon, there was confusion and panic for a while, but the citizenry joined in the recovery efforts and restored order among ourselves - self-imposed order.

Real Clear Commentary on Islamofascism

David Warren, at RealClearPolitics, posts a very thougthful piece on President Bush and Prime Minister Blair and their recent comments on the term, "Islamist Fascism" or "Islamofascism." Mr. Warren supports this term as clarifying the nature and makeup of the enemy we face. In the process he also adds some revealing comments about some of the weak sisters in the crowd  who want to step back from the confrontation with the Islamofascists. Very good reading (h/t Dr. Sanity)
